Halloween is likely going to look a lot different this year than years past. I’m guessing there won’t be a lot of Halloween Parties and in some places no Trick-Or-Treating. That doesn’t mean the holiday still shouldn’t be enjoyed at home with some fun spooky decor. I have a fireplace mantel that I like to decorate for the holidays. It seems to be the easiest way to to decorate without having to buy a bunch of decor for the entire house.
I put together some cute Halloween idea decorations for your fireplace mantel (or anywhere else you may want to decorate. Let’s be honest…the decor can go anywhere in the home.)
This is a cute fireplace setup from Pottery Barn. The pumpkins carved as flames aside (how cleaver), there isn’t an over abundance of items. They kept the decor to just a few colors which makes it feel very coordinated.
How do you feel about the scattered bats on this one? I think they are fun! This fireplace definitely gives off a graveyard sort of feel. Even though there are a lot of little details in the decor it doesn’t feel excessive. I think that can be a problem for a lot of us. Especially, when it comes to Halloween or Christmas Decor. There are so many cute options out there that we may tend to buy more than we have the space for and if we have it we want it displayed. By all means though…if you are someone who loves to go all out then you should absolutely do so. There is a home by me that every year for Halloween they have about 100 different Halloween yard decorations in their fairly small yard (including a hearse). I LOVE driving by. I can only imagine what the inside of their home must look like.
Are you a fan of the black and white? I don’t know what it is with this style, but it always has a place in my heart. I spent half of my childhood in a home that was primarily black and white. White floors, white walls, white cabinets and black accents. That home was built in the mid 90’s. Amazing that it still in style and as of late (thanks to the modern farmhouse) it is become more and more popular.
This is probably one of my favorites. The understated decor still really makes a difference. It’s more minimal and budget friendly. Decorating for the holidays don’t have to cost an arm and a leg. A quick trip to the Dollar Store and you can create a similar look. I grew up loving arts and crafts, so I don’t mind putting in a little work to make some holiday decorations.
